Finnish Linguistic Evaluator & Functional Tester (AI)

Location: On-site in Barcelona, Spain; Cluj-Napoca, Romania; or Tokyo, Japan. Remote and work-from-home arrangements are not available.

What you will do

• Review pre-release AI model outputs in Finnish for accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality.
• Fact-check model responses against source material and compare the Finnish experience with the English version.
• Complete user journeys using non-English input and test non-Latin text, diacritics, right-to-left text, and mixed-language input.
• Identify display, rendering, and localization issues involving text, dates, numbers, currencies, units, and untranslated strings.
• Document reproducible issues with steps, device and operating system, locale, build ID, and supporting evidence, then retest fixes.
• Support other linguistic projects as needed while working alongside linguists and testers.

Requirements

• Native-level or fully bilingual Finnish, written and spoken, is required.
• Ability to explain issues clearly in English.
• Confidence using smartphones and laptops, including both iOS and Android.
• Strong attention to detail and objective judgement when assessing quality.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed test scripts and guidelines.
• On-site work in a private, secure hirify.global office is required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation.
