Romanian Linguistic Evaluator & Functional Tester (AI)

What you will do

• Evaluate pre-release AI model outputs in Romanian for accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality.
• Fact-check model responses against source material and compare the Romanian experience with the English version.
• Test complete user journeys on client-supplied smartphones and next-generation smart glasses using iOS and Android.
• Identify localization, display, formatting, and rendering issues, including problems with diacritics, mixed-language input, dates, numbers, currencies, units, and untranslated strings.
• Document issues with reproduction steps, device and operating system details, locale, build ID, and supporting evidence, then re-test fixes.
• Support other linguistic projects as needed.

Requirements

• Native-level or fully bilingual Romanian, written and spoken, with current everyday and technical language knowledge.
• Confidence using smartphones and laptops, including both iOS and Android devices.
• Strong attention to detail and objective judgment when assessing quality.
• Ability to work independently, follow detailed test scripts and guidelines, and explain issues clearly in English.
• On-site work in a private, secure Welocalize office is required; remote work is not available for this programme.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation.
