German Linguistic Evaluator & Functional Tester (AI)

Location: On-site in Barcelona, Spain; Cluj-Napoca, Romania; or Tokyo, Japan. Remote and work-from-home arrangements are not available.

What you will do

• Evaluate pre-release AI model outputs in German for accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality.
• Fact-check model responses against source material and compare the German experience with the English version.
• Test complete user journeys on client-supplied smartphones and next-generation smart glasses using iOS and Android devices.
• Identify localization, rendering, display, date, number, currency, unit, untranslated-string, and mixed-language issues.
• Document defects with reproduction steps, device and operating system details, locale, build ID, and supporting evidence.
• Re-test fixes and support other linguistic projects as needed.

Requirements

• Native-level or fully bilingual German, written and spoken, is required.
• On-site work in Barcelona, Cluj-Napoca, or Tokyo is required; remote work is not available.
• Confidence using smartphones and laptops, including moving between iOS and Android.
• Strong attention to detail and objective judgement when assessing quality.
• Ability to work independently, follow detailed test scripts and guidelines, and explain issues clearly in English.
• Previous software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation experience is beneficial but not essential.
