AI Software Development Engineer

Location: On-site in Shanghai, China

Work within an AI and Graphics organization focused on intelligent computing solutions from the cloud to end-user devices.

What you will do

• Deploy large language models, vision-language models, AI agents, and image or video generation models on end-user devices.
• Prototype and develop inference pipelines, media codecs, and automation tools using Python or C/C++.
• Optimize hardware-software integration across CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs.
• Conduct technical evaluations, system integration, prototyping, and iterative product development.
• Collaborate with model, hardware, and ecosystem stakeholders to scale on-device AI solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 0–1 years of hands-on AI software development experience, or a relevant master’s degree with no prior professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python or C/C++.
• Familiarity with Windows or Linux development environments.
• Basic understanding of AI development tools and practices through projects, coursework, training, or open-source contributions.
• On-site presence in Shanghai, China is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, VLMs, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, or tool-use workflows.
• Knowledge of PyTorch, OpenVINO, or ONNX Runtime.
• Experience with model quantization, distillation, fine-tuning, or deployment on end devices.
• Knowledge of GPU/NPU acceleration, media processing, video codecs, or system performance optimization.
• Experience with AI development tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
