Autonomous Construction Operator (Robotics)

Location: Luling, Texas, United States; outdoor field operations on residential jobsites.

Salary: $20–$25 per hour, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Safely operate and monitor robotic construction systems in outdoor field environments.
• Mix and deliver adobe material to the Terraformer system.
• Operate small equipment, including mixers, skid steers, telehandlers, and man lifts.
• Inspect, calibrate, position, and maintain robotic and construction equipment.
• Use hand and power tools, perform basic repairs, and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Document completed work, identify abnormal operations, and report issues to a supervisor.

Requirements

• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience using tools or equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding field work.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures and work assigned shifts, including weekends when needed.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; local commute preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience operating small equipment such as a skid steer.
• Background in construction, maintenance, automotive, robotics, mechatronics, or related trades.
• Trade school or technical training.
• Experience with robotics, automation, mechanical systems, or preventive maintenance.
