TL;DR
HVAC Tech II (HVAC/HEPA testing): Maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC, facility, and production support systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing with an accent on clean-room HEPA testing, cGMP compliance, and equipment reliability. Focus on diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems, supporting piping and valve work, conducting GMP facility rounds, and maintaining safe operations during 12-hour shifts.
Location: On-premise in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, United States. Work schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM.
Salary: $28.76–$47.93 per hour, with potential overtime, weekend, holiday, and other pay premiums.

What you will do
- Maintain, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, facility, electrical, mechanical, and production-support equipment.
- Operate and maintain air handling units, hot water treatment systems, air ducting equipment, ventilation systems, and related facility systems.
- Perform HEPA filter testing and track repair history for process-support systems in manufacturing clean rooms.
- Support multi-craft manufacturing activities, including piping and valve installation, pipe fitting, and welding.
- Conduct GMP and non-GMP building rounds, read schematics and engineering drawings, and troubleshoot HVAC-related equipment.
- Support safety inspections, continuous improvement, peer training, documentation, and compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, and EHS requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Strong computer-user skills and basic technical knowledge of the discipline.
- Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required.
- Ability to stand for 8–12 hours per shift, climb stairs and ladders, walk on catwalks, wear controlled-area garments, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Nice to have
- HEPA testing certification.
- Previous biopharmaceutical experience.
- Knowledge of FDA PSM and Good Manufacturing Practices, including cGMP policies and procedures.
