HVAC Technician

Location: Tampa, Florida; field-based work at customer locations with regular travel and occasional overnight stays

Salary: $18.09–$54.26 per hour

What you will do

• Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up commercial HVAC systems.
• Use air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, air distribution, controls, mechanical layouts, hand tools, and construction drawings.
• Plan assigned projects, conduct site surveys, coordinate installations with customers and other trades, and complete replacements or modifications.
• Provide technical support, customer-site training, follow-up service, and direct customer communication.
• Maintain vehicles, tools, equipment, records, paperwork, and service documentation.
• Travel regularly, work overtime or weekends when required, and follow strict safety and asset-accountability standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably 2–5 years of commercial HVAC installation experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, travel, and occasional overnight stays.
• Technical school or formal training is preferred; state contractor licenses are a plus.
