TL;DR
Payment Product Manager (Fiat) (Payments/Fintech): Designing and scaling global fiat payment infrastructure, including order management, clearing, reconciliation, and integrations with payment channels in Europe and Latin America with an accent on backend capabilities, settlement logic, and transaction reliability. Focus on building multi-region payment systems, optimizing success rates and latency, and coordinating engineering, risk, compliance, and finance requirements.

What you will do
- Design and iterate the payment middle platform, order system, and clearing modules for Europe and Latin America.
- Own the roadmap and execution of the global fiat payment platform, with a focus on backend capabilities.
- Design order lifecycle management, including creation, status transitions, timeout handling, and reconciliation.
- Build clearing processes covering T+0/T+1 settlement, multi-currency reconciliation, error handling, and fund verification.
- Define scalable integration strategies for PSPs, bank rails, and local payment methods.
- Partner with engineering, risk, compliance, finance, wallet, account, and growth infrastructure teams to improve payment reliability and scalability.
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of product management experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or platform and infrastructure products.
- Strong experience with payment orchestration, transaction platforms, cashier systems, or backend payment systems.
- Deep understanding of payment lifecycles, routing, retries, success-rate optimization, and failure handling.
- Familiarity with backend system design and APIs, with the ability to work closely with engineering on architecture.
- Strong analytical and data-driven approach to product decisions and metric-based optimization.
- Experience managing complex cross-functional projects in global or multi-region environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with ACH, SEPA, FPS, PIX, UPI, bank rails, or large-scale PSP integrations.
- Knowledge of settlement, reconciliation, ledger systems, fund flows, gross/net settlement, T+N clearing, or foreign exchange processing.
- Experience with transaction platforms, wallet systems, high-throughput backend systems, or payment infrastructure.
- Exposure to Web3, crypto, or exchange products.
