Habitat Restoration Officer (Environmental Conservation)

Location: Based at The King's House, Lyndhurst, Hampshire, United Kingdom, within the South England Forest District team.

What you will do

• Join the Higher-Level Stewardship project team working in the New Forest.
• Plan landscape-scale habitat restoration projects funded through the New Forest HLS scheme.
• Oversee delivery of habitat restoration and enhancement projects.
• Support the conservation of internationally important habitats, flora, and fauna.
• Contribute to the management of public forests, national parks, and protected conservation sites.

Requirements

• Relevant experience and career history in habitat restoration, conservation, ecology, forestry, or a related field.
• Ability to prepare a 200-word experience statement and a personal statement of up to 500 words.
• Ability to communicate accurately in spoken English is required.
• Successful candidates must complete a criminal record check and the government Baseline Personnel Security Standard check.
• Ability to demonstrate decision-making, communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement at interview.
