Environmental Advisor

Location: Andover, United Kingdom; regular travel to project sites required

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems aligned with ISO 14001.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and support environmental permits and licences.
• Monitor environmental performance, conduct site inspections and audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
• Deliver environmental training and awareness programmes to employees.
• Liaise with regulators, stakeholders, and consultants and present environmental performance reports to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in an environmental advisory or management role, preferably in oil and gas or heavy industry.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and international standards including ISO 14001.
• Experience developing and implementing environmental management systems, environmental impact assessments, and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Valid driver’s licence, willingness to travel to project sites, and legal right to work in the United Kingdom required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
