Staff Technical Product Manager (Ads ML Platform)

Location: Remote - United States; 100% remote opportunity, with optional hybrid/onsite office locations in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

Base salary: $217,000–$303,900 USD per year, plus equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Define the long-term vision and roadmap for the Ads ML platform.
• Build infrastructure and tooling that help Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists train, deploy, and iterate on models faster.
• Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Ads Product teams to prioritize scalable platform initiatives.
• Own KPIs for platform reliability, latency, cost efficiency, usage, and developer productivity.
• Evaluate emerging ML architectures, research, Generative AI, and LLM workflows for practical platform applications.
• Conduct user research with MLEs in Ranking, Creative Effectiveness, and Content Understanding, translating pain points into product requirements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience focused on internal technical products, developer tools, data or ML platforms, ads, or content ranking.
• Strong technical and analytical background with an understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle, including training, inference, deployment, and monitoring.
• Ability to translate technical constraints such as GPU scheduling and latency budgets into actionable product roadmaps.
• Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.
• Passion for machine learning, AI research, emerging architectures, and industry trends.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or Backend Software Engineer.
• Understanding of advertising technology, including bidding, ranking, and targeting.
• Experience with Generative AI and LLM workflows, including agentic automation, prompt iteration, fine-tuning, and RAG.
