Product Finance & Strategy, Monetization (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid policy requiring staff to be in an office at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $190,000–$240,000 USD

What you will do

• Own financial models connecting token economics, inference and compute costs, margins, pricing, and packaging across model families and the API.
• Partner with Enterprise and Verticals product teams on product economics, business cases, and investment decisions.
• Evaluate pricing and packaging changes, model launches, consumption-based offerings, and competing roadmap investments.
• Analyze unit economics and gross margin trends, risks, and opportunities that influence monetization and product strategy.
• Track the competitive and market landscape for AI monetization and enterprise adoption.
• Maintain dashboards covering pricing, margin, consumption, and product performance metrics.

Requirements

• Advanced financial modeling skills, including building and maintaining complex operating models from scratch.
• Experience independently owning workstreams from an initial question through a decision.
• Ability to form, defend, and revise analytical recommendations.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex financial information to non-finance audiences.
• Close interest in AI and its development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience.

Nice to have

• 7+ years in strategic finance, product finance, pricing, investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or management consulting.
• Experience owning pricing, packaging, or monetization strategy.
• Experience partnering with product organizations on business cases, investment decisions, or roadmap prioritization.
• Experience with usage-based, API, developer-platform, or other consumption-based pricing models.
• Cloud infrastructure and compute economics knowledge, plus SQL proficiency.
