Software Engineer - Mobile Web

Location: Remote in the United States or from Figma hubs in San Francisco, California, and New York, New York. In-person onboarding is required if hired.

Annual base salary: $153,000–$376,000 USD.

What you will do

• Bring Figma features to iPhone and Android in collaboration with product managers, designers, and native engineers.
• Build, refine, and maintain web interfaces and backend endpoints embedded in mobile applications.
• Turn web-first features into mobile-friendly experiences.
• Participate in user research and testing to understand customer needs.
• Test, release, maintain, and provide on-call support for native mobile apps.
• Document architectural designs, communicate requirements, and provide feedback to teammates.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience building fullstack web-based mobile experiences.
• 2+ years of professional experience building native Android or iOS applications.
• Strong understanding of mobile and web product development practices.
• Ability to collaborate proactively with iOS, Android, and web engineers.
• Pragmatic approach to delivering maintainable, performant software and strong product sense.
• Interest in mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering culture.

Nice to have

• Interest in learning new technology stacks.
• Experience influencing development practices across an engineering organization.
• Comfort creating initial UI designs in code using established mobile UI/UX patterns.
