iOS Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Carlos, California, with 3+ days per week onsite; all work must be performed in the United States.

Salary: $135K–$260K base annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and implement iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and modern iOS frameworks.
• Build and maintain reliable, high-performance mobile applications for a flight safety platform.
• Integrate internal and external APIs to support real-time data and application functionality.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and senior engineers to deliver intuitive mobile experiences.
• Participate in code reviews and apply established iOS architecture and development practices.
• Improve code quality, performance, and maintainability through testing and documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of iOS development experience, or equivalent experience through internships, projects, or coursework.
• Experience with Swift and SwiftUI, plus exposure to UIKit and common iOS frameworks.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming, including async/await, multithreading, or GCD.
• Basic experience with networking, APIs, or real-world data sources.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
• Must be a U.S. Person and already authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and visa transfers are not available.

Nice to have

• Passion for aviation and improving air travel safety and efficiency.
• Experience with mapping or spatial frameworks such as Mapbox or MapKit.
• Interest in real-time data, sensors, or hardware-adjacent systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows or cloud-backed mobile systems.
