Sr. Manager External Reporting & Technical Accounting (SEC/US GAAP)

Location: St Louis Park, Minnesota, US; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $123,500–$229,500 per year, with potential eligibility for annual incentives.

What you will do

• Lead the timely and accurate preparation of SEC financial statements and filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.
• Lead quarterly financial reviews and annual audits as the primary contact for internal and external auditors.
• Research, evaluate, and document technical accounting conclusions for complex and non-standard transactions.
• Maintain global accounting policies, monitor new accounting and SEC pronouncements, and lead standards implementation, training, and adoption.
• Support M&A due diligence, integration, purchase price accounting, and related SEC reporting requirements.
• Lead impairment testing, pension plan valuations, and accounting for derivatives, hedging, stock-based compensation, and leases while improving reporting processes, controls, and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred.
• At least 6 years of progressive experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm, industry, or a combination of both.
• Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting and SEC reporting experience, including revenue recognition, leases, derivatives and hedging, stock-based compensation, business combinations, and financial statement disclosures.
• Strong advisory, writing, presentation, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and develop team members while maintaining accountability, confidentiality, and comfort with change.
