Team Lead - Backend (Java)

What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of 6–12 engineers across different technology skills.
• Set team objectives, conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support career development.
• Remain hands-on by writing code for tooling, automation, refactoring, and application development.
• Own the delivery and support of high-quality enterprise software solutions and services.
• Manage project risks, resources, priorities, bottlenecks, system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Drive collaboration with customers, Product Owners, engineering teams, operations, infrastructure, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java 8 or higher; Java 11 or higher is preferred.
• Competency in Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience with code versioning tools, preferably Git.
• Experience in test automation using tools such as JUnit and Mockito, and working knowledge of RESTful API development.
• Experience in people and stakeholder management, with strong communication, decision-making, leadership, and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles, quality management, metrics-based decision-making, and enterprise application delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, JPA, Hibernate, or other database technologies.
• Working knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms, preferably Azure DevOps, and build tools such as Maven.
• Experience with agile methodologies and an agile mindset.
