Electrician (Electrical Installation)

Location: High Blantyre, Scotland, Highlands & Islands; site-based with travel to various locations

hirify.global is a growing electrical services business delivering installation, maintenance, testing, inspection, and fault-finding work across commercial, industrial, and domestic environments.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems, equipment, containment systems, wiring, and distribution equipment.
• Perform electrical installation, inspection, testing, certification, fault-finding, and defect rectification in line with BS 7671 18th Edition.
• Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance, commissioning activities, site surveys, job sheets, and installation certificates.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate professionally with clients, contractors, and colleagues on site.
• Follow safe systems of work, use PPE, maintain tools and equipment, and report hazards, incidents, and safety concerns.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Approved Electrician in commercial and/or industrial electrical installations.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, plus City & Guilds 2365, 2330, or equivalent qualification.
• City & Guilds 2382-18, AM2 qualification, and ECS Gold Card with Approved Electrician status.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of BS 7671, electrical fault diagnosis, technical drawings, and safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including in outdoor environments, confined spaces, and at height when appropriately trained.

Nice to have

• City & Guilds 2391, 2394, or 2395 in inspection and testing.
• IPAF, PASMA, First Aid at Work, or relevant health and safety qualifications.
• Facilities management, maintenance contract, or renewable energy experience.
• Experience supervising apprentices or junior electricians and SSE Authorization.
