Financial Controller

Location: Amsterdam, hybrid; office attendance required at least 3 days per week

What you will do

• Bring group accounting in-house from external accounting partners.
• Design and implement procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report processes.
• Establish controls, documentation, and audit trails for a growing international group.
• Automate recurring finance tasks using tools such as Ramp and Campfire.
• Own accurate and timely reporting across multiple entities, currencies, and reporting frameworks.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash analysis, group tax structuring, and future funding rounds.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in accounting or controlling, ideally combining audit or accounting-firm experience with in-house startup or scaleup experience.
• End-to-end ownership of the month-end close.
• Experience building or improving processes in fast-changing startup environments.
• Hands-on experience with a traditional ERP or modern finance stack, with the ability to optimize new tools.
• Familiarity with Dutch, Swiss, and/or US statutory reporting and local filing requirements.
• Ability to work from the Amsterdam office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience as an early finance hire at a scaleup.
• Familiarity with Ramp, Campfire, or HubSpot.
• Experience preparing for a first statutory audit.
