Data Analyst

Location: Rohnert Park, California, or the San Francisco Bay Area, California, United States

Base salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, plus bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain business-facing analytical applications and interfaces using Python and JavaScript.
• Develop Tableau dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, visualizations, KPIs, publishing workflows, and permissions management.
• Author and extend Cube semantic model definitions as version-controlled code using pull request review.
• Design and maintain Salesforce reporting and analysis, including object-field relationships and CRM reporting support.
• Apply Git-based development, code review, branching, and CI/CD practices through GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
• Maintain data quality, validation, role-based access control, and row-level security while collaborating with sales, marketing, finance, operations, compliance, customer success, and medical education.

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills for querying and optimizing data in cloud data warehouses and semantic layers.
• Production development experience in Python, JavaScript, or a comparable language, including application development.
• Full-cycle Tableau dashboard development experience, including calculated fields, parameters, design, publishing, and permissions.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce reporting structures, object-field relationships, and CRM data.
• Experience with version-controlled workflows, pull requests, formal code review, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, science, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience; 2+ years in business intelligence, analytics, or software development.

Nice to have

• Experience with semantic modeling layers implemented as code, such as Cube, dbt Semantic Layer, or LookML.
• Amazon Redshift or equivalent cloud data warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of data access governance, automated testing, data quality validation, and object-oriented programming.
• Healthcare, medical device, regulated industry, or commercialization experience.
