Senior AI Engineer

What you will do

• Design, build, and own LLM-powered pipelines and agent-based systems that find, triage, and remediate security risks in production at scale.
• Develop retrieval and context strategies using RAG, tool use, and memory to ground model behavior in product data and application security domains.
• Define model and agent evaluations covering accuracy, hallucination, latency, and cost, and use results to guide iteration and model selection.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools, models, vendors, and frameworks, producing build-versus-buy-versus-integrate recommendations.
• Design reliable production AI features with guardrails, structured output validation, fallback behavior, and LLM-focused observability.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews across cloud-native systems built with Go.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on LLM and AI agent development.
• Experience designing RAG pipelines, retrieval strategies, or context and memory systems for LLM applications.
• Practical experience evaluating model and agent quality and comparing AI tools, models, or vendors.
• Experience with cloud AI services such as AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or Vertex AI.
• Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python, plus distributed systems, message queues, gRPC/REST APIs, relational databases, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent English communication skills and availability to work from the Braga office.
