Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Braga, Portugal — hybrid

Enterprise application security product company providing a cloud-native platform that helps organizations secure software from code to cloud and remediate application and supply-chain risks.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own AI-driven features and LLM-powered pipelines for finding, triaging, and remediating security risks.
• Integrate LLMs and agent frameworks into production systems operating at scale.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools, models, frameworks, and vendors, and provide build-versus-buy-versus-integrate recommendations.
• Design and operate distributed microservices using message queues, gRPC/REST APIs, and relational databases.
• Own services end to end, including architecture, coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
• Deploy services to Kubernetes using GitOps practices and contribute to design discussions and code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Go and/or Python skills.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents, including LangChain, LangGraph, or similar technologies.
• Experience evaluating AI tools, models, or vendors and working with cloud AI services such as AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or Vertex AI.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, message queues, gRPC/REST APIs, and relational databases.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, testing, CI/CD, and observability in a multi-team microservices environment.
• Excellent English communication skills and availability for hybrid work in Braga, Portugal.
