TL;DR
Mid Java Developer (Java/Spring/AWS): Building scalable backend solutions and time-tracking modules for a business-critical HR system with an accent on clean architecture, cloud integration, and performance optimization. Focus on designing REST services, implementing batch processing, improving reliability, and solving complex working-time settlement requirements for tens of thousands of employees.
Location: Gdynia, Poland; elastic hybrid work with approximately one day per week in the office
Salary: 500–1,300 PLN/day on B2B

What you will do
- Develop new Java application modules based on business requirements.
- Design and implement efficient, scalable backend solutions and REST APIs.
- Write clean, structured code using best practices, clean architecture, and design patterns.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Support performance optimization and system reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and other developers in an agile environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL, Hibernate, and Criteria API.
- Experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot.
- Basic experience with Spring Batch or another batch-processing solution.
- Knowledge of Docker, AWS services such as ECS, S3, and RDS, REST API development, clean code, and design patterns.
