System Design Engineer (Audio-Visual)

What you will do

• Design and draw audio-visual system layouts and configurations for tenders and projects.
• Prepare mechanical and electrical drawings, cabling schedules, cable labels, and IP network tables.
• Provide technical expertise to sales representatives during project scoping and help source suitable hardware.
• Coordinate design clarifications and updates with project management, installation, commissioning, and pre- and post-sales teams.
• Support the Technical Director across design activities and provide cover during leave.
• Attend site visits when required to gather design information and explain technical solutions.

Requirements

• Third-level qualification in electronic, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in audio-visual system design and installation.
• Experience with IT networking, IT infrastructure, AV control system design and configuration, and AV rack building.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or Stardraw and basic programming or configuration of control systems.
• Safe Pass, manual handling, manufacturer certificates, or AVIXA CTS-D/CTS-I certification.
• Ability to work on site in Dublin when required.
