Principal Civil Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in the Cork office, Ireland

What you will do

• Lead detailed civil engineering design for pavements, underground drainage, utilities, and earthworks on large industrial projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, design disciplines, construction management teams, contractors, and clients.
• Manage the timely delivery and quality of civil engineering designs.
• Carry out periodic site inspections for quality control and BCAR requirements.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the civil engineering department.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering; a master’s degree is advantageous.
• Chartered status with Engineers Ireland or a similar professional body.
• At least 10 years of experience, including 5 years in detailed design for large industrial projects in pharmaceutical, data centre, or oil and gas sectors.
• Experience with process drainage and coordination of complex underground utilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and AutoTRACK.
• Strong communication, presentation, report-writing, civil engineering standards, site inspection, and BCAR reporting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience using Revit.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
