System Infrastructure Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid work from Kraków, Zabłocie, with 3 days per week from the office; travel required up to 25%.

Salary: 1,000–1,500 PLN per day + VAT on a B2B contract

What you will do

• Own the development and delivery of system infrastructure functions for HV inverters and electrified powertrains across the product lifecycle.
• Develop system concepts and requirements while balancing quality, performance, cost, timing, and customer expectations.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and coordinate Hardware, Software, Calibration, Safety, and Test teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and define system-level solutions for technical issues and defects.
• Support Functional Safety activities, including Technical Safety Concepts, SFMEA, and FTA in line with ISO 26262.
• Report technical status, risks, and mitigation plans and participate in customer meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in automotive system development, preferably with HV inverters, power electronics, or electrified powertrain systems.
• Strong systems engineering background covering system architecture, requirements development, integration, verification, and validation.
• Expertise in HV inverter infrastructure functions, ISO 26262 Functional Safety, and HV Safety.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, with experience working with automotive customers and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Polarion, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• German language skills.
