Analyst, Manager Research

Location: Hong Kong; hybrid work with four days in the office each week

What you will do

• Research and critically assess Asia-based fund managers, investment strategies, products, and managed funds.
• Lead fund manager interviews and write concise, reader-friendly rating notes and research reports.
• Formulate and justify opinions on investment strategies for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to regional and local thought leadership to strengthen the research brand.
• Help shape research methodologies and complete ad hoc analytical and administrative assignments.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of financial industry experience, preferably in fund manager due diligence or another research and analytical discipline.
• Understanding of Asia-based investment managers; expertise across equities, fixed income, or multi-asset investments is advantageous.
• Superior written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and collaborate within a global interdisciplinary team.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees, certifications, and CFA designation or enrollment are advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, relationship-building, and proficiency with mainstream PC software.

• Chinese language skills.
• Experience with hirify.global Direct.
• Fund manager due diligence experience, advanced degrees, professional certifications, or CFA enrollment.
