Credit Risk Associate (Finance)

Location: Must be based in Hong Kong

What you will do

• Assess the credit and financial strength of trading counterparties and borrowers to determine acceptable exposure levels.
• Analyze risks inherent in trading products, including complex derivative transactions.
• Manage the risk of the lending book, including relationship loans and debt investments.
• Coordinate with Legal, Operations, and Compliance departments to ensure proper documentation and risk mitigation.
• Monitor and manage exposures at the counterparty, product, and portfolio levels.
• Conduct due diligence through direct meetings with companies for oversight and transactional requests.

Requirements

• Professional experience in a credit risk role.
• University degree with strong problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Location: Must be based in Hong Kong.
