Materials Specialist (Aviation)

Location: Vero Beach Regional Airport, United States; onsite airport warehouse role

Salary: $18.50 per hour starting pay, plus a $2.00 shift differential for work between 9:00 PM and 7:30 AM

What you will do

• Oversee daily Material Stores and Line Material operations, including technical and non-technical inventory.
• Manage inventory data entry, parts issuing, receiving, shipping, stocking, and material handling.
• Coordinate inventory, tooling, and special equipment movements with Maintenance Operations Control for Aircraft on Ground recovery.
• Monitor stock levels, perform inventory audits and reconciliations, and maintain General Maintenance Manual compliance.
• Complete calibrated tooling and shelf-life audits and support receiving inspections with Quality Control.
• Prepare IATA-compliant hazardous-material shipments and coordinate fleet modification kits with Engineering and Maintenance Planning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and ability to operate company vehicles, trucks, forklifts, and other ground service equipment.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Must obtain and maintain a SIDA badge and pass a 10-year background check and criminal history records check.
• Fluent English is required. Must pass Materials, General Maintenance Manual, and Dangerous Goods IATA and ground-shipping training.
• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds or more, work in confined spaces, and comply with OSHA standards.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree in Business, Aerospace, or a related field.
• Experience with TRAX M&E Inventory, warehousing, or stockroom operations.
• Technical and analytical experience with TRAX, Excel, and other reporting tools.
• Valid passport without restrictions on travel outside the United States.
