Sr. Immigration Specialist

Location: Chicago, 20 S. Wacker

Salary: $66,700–$111,100 per year, plus an annual target bonus opportunity and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Own daily U.S. and international immigration operations across visa types and global locations.
• Advise HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and foreign national employees on visa timelines, options, and risks.
• Coordinate external immigration counsel and vendors, monitor service levels, review filings, and manage legal invoices.
• Review petitions, PERM applications, and legal filings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Maintain compliance across Form I-9, E-Verify, Labor Condition Applications, Public Access Files, and workplace postings.
• Manage immigration records, case milestones, business travel requirements, invitation letters, and visa support documentation.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of progressive experience managing U.S. employment-based immigration cases, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, and Green Card/PERM matters.
• Hands-on ownership of end-to-end PERM and Labor Certification processes, including recruitment, audit preparation, and timeline management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for employee updates, leadership briefings, and status reporting.
• Experience with Google Workspace, JIRA, an HRIS such as Workday, and immigration or enterprise mobility case management systems.
• Knowledge of global immigration laws, U.S. Form I-9 and E-Verify compliance, and international travel visa requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
