Sr Research Contract Specialist (US Remote)

Location: US remote; Chicago, United States. U.S. work authorization is required.

Base salary: $95,000–$130,000 per year. The role is also eligible for annual incentive compensation, with total estimated compensation of $106,400–$153,400.

What you will do

• Negotiate and prepare clinical research study contracts.
• Manage Confidentiality Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements, Nonconforming Subcontracts, Master Service Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, and Data Transfer Agreements.
• Analyze complex contract clauses and manage agreements from redlining through finalization.
• Communicate contract details and negotiation outcomes to stakeholders and clients.
• Balance multiple deadlines while maintaining quality, utilization, and throughput targets.
• Support process improvement, practice development, stakeholder alignment, and training.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in research administration and/or contract-focused legal work.
• Experience with complex contract management, particularly Clinical Trial Agreements, is preferred.
• Knowledge of contract law, federal clinical research regulations, NIH regulations, or research and healthcare compliance is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, relationship management, project management, and communication skills.

• Experience in a university, hospital, or research institute administrative or business office.
