Claims Advisory Specialist (Faith & Education)

Location: Sydney, Australia; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients. Applications require appropriate approval to work in Australia.

What you will do

• Manage basic to moderately complex professional standards and safeguarding claims in line with client agreements, insurer requirements, and internal processes.
• Provide trauma-informed claims support for vulnerable stakeholders and sensitive abuse matters while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
• Coordinate clients, insurers, legal advisers, investigators, treatment providers, and other stakeholders.
• Record incident and claim information in Clearsight and other systems and prepare routine correspondence.
• Support claims strategy, liability and quantum considerations, document collection, settlement pathways, insurer responses, and dispute resolution.
• Contribute claims insights and de-identified trend data to tenders, renewals, proposals, client reviews, and safeguarding risk discussions.

Requirements

• Experience in claims management or claims advisory within professional indemnity, liability, accident and health, or similar lines.
• Professional judgement and discretion when handling sensitive abuse matters and confidential information.
• High attention to detail, strong organisation, accurate documentation, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Client-focused, calm, empathetic, and able to build trusted long-term relationships.
• Strong written communication skills for clear, respectful, and technically sound insurer and client correspondence.
• Appropriate approval to work in Australia is required.
