Electrical Integration Intern - Avionics (Winter 2027)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite 5 days a week

What you will do

• Design, build, and test satellite hardware and software with an interdisciplinary engineering team.
• Develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures with Electrical, Mechanical, Radio Frequency, and Propulsion teams.
• Learn to operate thermal chambers, vibration tables, data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
• Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental testing.
• Help solve complex electrical, software, and mechanical problems in integrated systems.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical field.
• Passion for hands-on hardware design and development in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must work onsite five days per week.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual under U.S. export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing complex electrical systems.
• Python experience for interfacing with test equipment, processing datasets, and visualizing data.
• Direct electrical or software design experience.
• Experience debugging hardware and software problems under time pressure.
