Company

hirify.global develops commercial quantum computing systems, software, and services, including annealing and gate-model quantum computing platforms.

What you will do

  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot PVD systems and associated fabrication equipment.
  • Own and optimize PVD modules and thin-film deposition processes within the fabrication flow.
  • Design, execute, and analyze DOE-based experiments to improve process performance, yield, and reliability.
  • Maintain processes of record, process documentation, equipment data, and wafer-lot records.
  • Analyze PVD and film metrology data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Fabrication, R&D, vendors, and technical stakeholders to resolve equipment and process issues while maintaining cleanroom and lab safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting PVD systems; AMAT Endura experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of vacuum systems, thin-film deposition, semiconductor fabrication, DOE, statistical analysis, yield improvement, and film metrology.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience with laboratory tools and instrumentation.
  • Ability to work independently, manage projects, collaborate across technical teams, and use Microsoft Office and DOE/statistical analysis software.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory and cleanroom environment, lift up to 50 lbs, travel up to 10% within the USA, and relocate within the United States as required.

Nice to have

  • 7+ years of semiconductor industry experience, preferably in high-volume manufacturing wafer fabs.
  • Experience with PVD process integration, processes of record, equipment installation, qualification, or vendor integration.
  • Experience with advanced metrology and thin-film property analysis.
  • Experience in R&D or low-volume, high-complexity fabrication environments.

Culture & Benefits

  • Ownership-oriented culture with competitive pay, equity, bonus, and benefits.
  • Collaborative environment that values direct communication, diverse perspectives, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Recruiters review total rewards, including base pay, equity, bonus, perks, and benefits during the interview process.
  • Equal employment opportunity is provided regardless of legally protected characteristics.
