Senior ASIC Design Engineer (Quantum Computing)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX or Boulder, CO, with office attendance required at least 3 days per week

Base salary: $140,000–$175,000 annually, plus annual bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Design and develop digital signal processing blocks for quantum computing systems.
• Own ASIC development from requirements definition through silicon bring-up.
• Define microarchitecture, develop RTL, test designs, and manage integration.
• Collaborate with quantum physicists, optical engineers, and hardware and software engineers to translate system use cases into production-ready hardware.
• Contribute to current FPGA designs and help prepare the FPGA development process for ASIC implementation.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of post-degree experience as a hardware engineer.
• Experience completing a full ASIC design cycle.
• Proficiency with RTL, preferably SystemVerilog, including implementation of large digital signal processing blocks.
• Knowledge of Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens EDA design tools.
• Expertise in FPGA, microprocessor, and related digital circuit design.
