Senior Production Engineer (Cryogenic Engineering)

Salary: 133,000–183,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for cryogenic products and subassemblies.
• Develop manufacturing documentation, work instructions, assembly procedures, and process specifications.
• Lead manufacturing readiness for new products, including prototype, pilot, and first production builds.
• Support design for manufacturability and design for assembly with Hardware Engineering.
• Develop qualification and acceptance test procedures, process controls, and quality metrics.
• Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, production scaling, and cross-functional manufacturing improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Cryogenic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience scaling production of complex electromechanical products.
• Strong understanding of vacuum systems, thermal management, and precision mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with root cause analysis, production troubleshooting, advanced Excel, and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and a demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with low-volume, high-mix manufacturing operations.
• Experience with NetSuite.
