Volunteer Engagement Associate

Location: Rockville, Maryland, United States; hybrid working environment

Salary: USD $86,860–$117,018 annually; target annual bonus varies by role level.

What you will do

• Plan and execute volunteer engagement activities, meetings, and large-scale events with up to 400 attendees.
• Build relationships with hirify.global Expert Volunteers, Government Liaisons, stakeholders, internal teams, and external service providers.
• Curate content and facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogue across diverse scientific and professional groups.
• Manage Expert Volunteer Operations processes, including onboarding, training, compliance, participation, and governance activities.
• Track engagement objectives and metrics, maintain volunteer records and reporting, resolve issues, and ensure data accuracy.
• Provide operational backup to team members and support business continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or three years of professional experience in a health or global science environment.
• At least three years of experience defining and executing strategies for large-scale events.
• Experience developing and implementing strategies to improve the global volunteer experience.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate across functions, influence stakeholders, and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Rockville, Maryland, United States.

• Experience coordinating groups of volunteers or experts.
• Knowledge of global pharmaceutical and healthcare industries and related trade associations.
• Experience with project planning, project management, team building, and cross-functional collaboration.
