Community Operations Manager (AI)

Location: On-site at the San Francisco office near Embarcadero station

Base salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Run community channels, welcome developers, facilitate discussions, and maintain clear community guidelines.
• Build programs for engaged developers, support community-led initiatives, and develop relationships with organizers and partners.
• Plan and execute hackathons, meetups, and other events, including promotion, registration, vendors, swag, and follow-up.
• Build tools, documentation, automations, and workflows for onboarding, member support, events, and communications.
• Gather recurring questions, product feedback, and use cases, then connect insights with the technical team and close the loop with members.
• Track participation, retention, response times, and developer activity to improve community programs.

Requirements

• Experience building or scaling community programs, developer communities, or operations at a fast-moving startup.
• Ability to design programs and manage execution details, from participant recruitment through event delivery.
• Strong operational judgment, attention to detail, ownership, and follow-through across multiple workstreams.
• Clear, warm, and responsive written and verbal communication, including when handling feedback or difficult conversations.
• Comfort with community tools, operations tools, and automation, with a preference for simple processes.
• Curiosity about AI and sufficient technical fluency to understand developer projects and connect members with appropriate support.
