Senior Manager, Software Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Set strategy and technical direction for enterprise software engineering, integrations, and automation.
• Lead the design, development, and operation of enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and automations.
• Build a process excellence practice using process mining, telemetry, operational analytics, and AI-enabled tools.
• Redesign complex cross-functional processes and establish standards for ownership, governance, measurement, and continuous improvement.
• Build and develop a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and business systems analysts.
• Manage delivery priorities, external partners, risks, and trade-offs across the portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, enterprise platforms, process excellence, or technology-enabled transformation.
• 8+ years managing software engineers, business systems analysts, or multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Experience owning the architecture, technical quality, and operational health of enterprise applications, APIs, and platforms.
• Strong knowledge of code review, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, reliability, and production operations.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Databricks; Go or TypeScript; modern frameworks such as Next.js; and business process assessment, redesign, modeling, governance, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience applying AI or agentic AI to process discovery, requirements generation, intelligent automation, or decision-making.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Celonis, ARIS, Signavio, UiPath, Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar platforms.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management experience.
• Experience building a Center of Excellence or Community of Practice for integration, automation, or process standards.
