Software Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, or San Francisco / Bay Area with at least 2 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, helping prioritize high-impact work and supporting career growth.
• Own strategy, roadmap, and execution with product and design partners.
• Build AI developer tools, including MCP integrations, agentic builders, and platform partnerships.
• Develop integrations with storage providers, analytics platforms, and other tools used by development teams.
• Drive growth metrics such as activation, integration signups, and developer adoption through experiments.
• Set technical direction across TypeScript, React, Node.js, Next.js, and Go microservices while collaborating with engineering leadership, marketing, and partnerships.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States for remote work, or in the San Francisco / Bay Area for the hybrid arrangement.
• At least 1 year of engineering management experience, preferably in growth- or experimentation-focused environments.
• Strong full-stack skills with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Next.js, including code review and architecture leadership.
• Hands-on experience with MCP servers and AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, or v0.
• Experience with A/B testing, funnel optimization, data-informed decisions, and growth analytics tools such as GrowthBook or Amplitude.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, ambiguity handling, and bias for action.
