Corporate Accounting Senior Manager

Location: Rosemead, California, US; hybrid work with required reporting to an SCE facility and residence in California.

Salary: $182,800–$274,100 per year

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional financial close activities, account reconciliations, close entries, variance analysis, and internal financial statement production.
• Oversee accounting for intercompany activities, employee pensions and benefits, accruals, leases, fixed assets, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Design and implement accounting policies, reporting processes, internal controls, and operational improvements with financial and regulatory impact.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, procurement reporting, cost-saving initiatives, cash yield, and cost-to-collect improvements.
• Prepare materials for finance and audit committee meetings and coordinate with external auditors on accounting and reporting matters.
• Lead and develop a team of 7–10 employees, including performance management, resource planning, and employment decisions.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience supervising direct reports and/or managing projects.
• Experience performing or overseeing accounting or finance functions.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage risks, develop and execute business plans, plan resources and projects, and deliver results across organizational areas.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement, report to an SCE facility, and reside in California unless otherwise noted.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
• Five or more years managing accounting, finance, tax, or regulatory functions.
• CPA certification, active or inactive.
• Experience with SAP ERP, regulated industries or utilities, complex employee benefit accounting, and strategic financial planning.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects and implementing accounting and management reporting systems and procedures.
