Corporate Communications Manager (AI)

Location: New York, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $117,334–$266,400 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Build and maintain relationships with journalists covering technology, business, policy, cybersecurity, AI, and national security.
• Drive proactive media coverage, manage incoming press inquiries, and host background briefings on complex topics.
• Develop communications strategies for company milestones, governance, transparency, security, technology, and policy initiatives.
• Translate technical, legal, regulatory, and policy issues into clear public narratives.
• Partner with Legal, Policy, and Security teams on PR risks, crisis messaging, reactive statements, Q&As, and fast-moving issues.
• Prepare senior leaders for interviews, keynotes, and thought leadership while writing press releases, pitches, blog posts, and communications plans.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, or an agency environment.
• Proven success building media relationships and securing meaningful earned media coverage.
• Deep knowledge of the U.S. media landscape across technology, business, policy, and national security.
• Experience developing and executing proactive and reactive communications strategies.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to explain complex subjects clearly.
• Strong executive presence, sound judgment, composure, and experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting technology clients or working in national security, cybersecurity, privacy, trust and safety, or public policy.
• Established relationships with leading technology, business, policy, national security, or cybersecurity journalists.
• Experience communicating complex technical, national security, or regulatory topics.
• Experience guiding organizations through high-stakes reputational, regulatory, or public policy issues.
• Experience serving as an official on-the-record or background spokesperson.
