Manager, External Corporate Communications (Fintech)

Salary: $81,900–$128,700 annual base pay

What you will do

• Support communications strategies for hirify.global Scores across lender, consumer, industry, and policy audiences.
• Manage proactive and responsive media relations, including reporter relationships, pitches, inbound inquiries, and media opportunities.
• Create press releases, bylined articles, blog posts, Q&As, talking points, presentations, briefing documents, social content, and internal communications.
• Develop executive visibility programs and prepare executives and subject matter experts for interviews, speeches, panels, podcasts, and briefings.
• Coordinate with product, analytics, legal, marketing, sales, and other partners to ensure accurate and aligned communications.
• Monitor media, policy discussions, competitors, and industry trends; manage projects and evaluate communications results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science, or a related field.
• 4–7+ years of experience in communications, media relations, public affairs, public relations, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, technology, or another highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills across formats, audiences, and executive voices.
• Experience with media relations, executive communications, thought leadership, speaking support, social content, and briefing materials.
• Strong project-management skills, sound judgment, and experience handling legal, regulatory, reputational, or sensitive communications issues.

Nice to have

• Experience using Muck Rack for media monitoring, outreach, and reporting.
• Experience developing relationships with business, trade, financial, policy, or consumer reporters.
