Senior Manager, Public Relations (Legal Technology)

Location: USA — New York, NY, 1166 Avenue of the Americas. The role is marked as remote, requires the ability to work in an office environment, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Salary: $140,000–$150,000 USD annually, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and execute public relations and thought leadership programs that increase executive and subject-matter-expert visibility.
• Identify opportunities across legal services, eDiscovery, cybersecurity, legal operations, AI, data privacy, and digital transformation.
• Create media commentary, bylined articles, opinion pieces, keynote messaging, panel talking points, blog content, and executive communications.
• Secure speaking opportunities, media interviews, podcast appearances, contributed articles, webinars, and other visibility opportunities.
• Maintain an annual thought leadership calendar aligned with business priorities, industry trends, and market events.
• Monitor competitors and industry developments, advise on reputation and issues management, and support communications for acquisitions, partnerships, leadership announcements, client successes, and corporate milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
• Eight or more years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations, or thought leadership programs.
• Experience with brand management, communications and content strategy, media relations, press releases, reputation management, executive communications, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with people management, internal communications, digital marketing, social media marketing, and marketing communications planning.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Ability to work in an office environment and use standard office equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience in legal services, legal technology, eDiscovery, cybersecurity, compliance, risk, information governance, or adjacent professional services.
• Familiarity with legal, business, technology, and trade publications.
• Strategic Communication Management Professional certification.
