GenAI Intern (AI/ML) (Generative AI and Machine Learning): Developing AI agents, RAG applications, predictive models, and AI-native solutions for factory and business processes with an accent on LLM integration, prompt engineering, vector databases, and enterprise data. Focus on designing multi-step workflows, evaluating hallucination risk and business impact, and building intelligent automation for smart factory operations.
Location: Penang, Malaysia — Suntech at Cybercity. Onsite office role; no travel required.

What you will do
- Develop machine learning and Generative AI solutions for factory and business process automation.
- Design AI agents that reason, plan, and execute multi-step workflows.
- Build RAG applications using enterprise data, document repositories, vector databases, and embeddings.
- Create prompt workflows, templates, and evaluation frameworks for large language models.
- Develop predictive models, recommendation systems, monitoring solutions, and AI-native applications integrating LLMs, APIs, enterprise systems, and factory data.
- Evaluate solution accuracy, relevance, hallucination risk, safety, and business impact, then present findings using data visualization and AI storytelling.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, information systems, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI concepts.
- Experience with Python, SQL, software development practices, APIs, JSON, and modern application architectures.
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, RAG, vector search, embeddings, model evaluation, and Responsible AI.
- Exposure to platforms or frameworks such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and LangChain.
- Experience through projects, research, hackathons, or coursework with AI assistants, chatbots, copilots, workflow automation, data pipelines, ETL, or GenAI deployment.
