TL;DR
Senior Data & AI Engineer (Data Platforms/Generative AI): Designing and scaling enterprise data platforms, AI-enabled solutions, and production data pipelines for analytics, automation, and decision support with an accent on Python, cloud analytics, semantic data models, and AI-ready data foundations. Focus on building RAG architectures, vector search, production-grade AI agents, and integrations across Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure AI Foundry, and AWS Redshift.
Location: Onsite in Johor Bahru or Penang, Malaysia. Some flexibility between in-office and remote work may be available depending on business needs.

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ingestion processes, curated data layers, and structured datasets.
- Develop reusable Python scripts, notebooks, APIs, automation components, data models, and semantic layers.
- Support and optimize cloud analytics platforms including AWS Redshift, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Azure AI services.
- Prepare governed, AI-ready data for retrieval, summarization, question answering, classification, and Copilot use cases.
- Develop RAG patterns, vector search approaches, and production-grade AI agents for data queries, workflows, reporting, and operational alerts.
- Build agent workflows, tool integrations, orchestration logic, and connections with enterprise systems.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, cloud data platforms, or AI engineering.
- Strong SQL and Python skills with experience building production data pipelines and data models.
- Experience with data integration, data quality, performance optimization, platform reliability, and enterprise data platforms.
- Experience with AWS Redshift, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure AI Foundry, semantic data models, and AI-ready data foundations.
- Experience building or supporting production-grade AI agents using Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric Data Agents, or similar platforms.
- Awareness of agentic AI trends, multi-agent architectures, and AI governance practices.
Nice to have
- Experience using Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar generative AI tools.
