RCM Account Manager (Healthcare)

Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually

What you will do

• Own client and payer relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and strategic advisor.
• Lead client onboarding, ongoing engagement, and monthly and quarterly performance reviews.
• Analyze revenue cycle KPIs, including days in accounts receivable, first-pass resolution rates, and denial trends.
• Identify root causes of revenue cycle inefficiencies and implement corrective measures with clinics and internal teams.
• Direct the accounts receivable team, including Billing Specialists and AR Specialists, to ensure timely claim follow-up and resolution.
• Maintain claim submission parameters, monitor at-risk accounts, resolve escalated concerns, and provide client performance reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare account management or revenue cycle operations.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing across commercial payers, Medicare, Medicaid, workers’ compensation, and patient responsibility.
• Expertise in revenue cycle management best practices, payer guidelines, KPIs, and industry trends.
• Experience with EPIC systems is desirable.
