Trust & Safety Investigator I

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Must reside in the Phoenix area at the time of accepting an offer. Hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration three days per week; this is not a remote position.

Salary: $58,000–$68,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Handle escalated Trust & Safety cases from customer support, claims, leadership, and law enforcement.
• Investigate and resolve fraud, missing-vehicle, and other risk-related cases from intake through completion.
• Lead interviews with suspects and victims and apply appropriate investigation strategies.
• Review user accounts, transactions, and risk signals to identify fraudulent and high-risk activity.
• Communicate case developments, trends, and insights to management and partner teams.
• Build relationships with law enforcement, external partners, and investigators while contributing to special projects.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in investigations, Trust & Safety, loss prevention, fraud, or risk management.
• Strong investigative, interviewing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload with high responsiveness and follow-through.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and systems; experience with CRM systems, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must reside in the Phoenix area and work in the Phoenix office three days per week.
