Associate Vice President, Model & AI Governance (AI)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; preference for Washington, DC, New York, or Louisville, KY. Occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required.

Salary: $189,400–$260,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Own and continuously enhance the enterprise model governance and AI risk management frameworks.
• Define model and AI risk appetites, taxonomies, control standards, escalation thresholds, metrics, and key risk indicators.
• Oversee model and AI inventories, risk classification, validation, approval, monitoring, documentation, change management, and retirement.
• Establish responsible AI standards covering fairness, bias, transparency, explainability, accountability, privacy, human oversight, safety, and security.
• Govern generative AI, large language models, AI agents, foundation models, APIs, external providers, and third-party AI solutions.
• Lead model and AI risk committees, executive and Board-level reporting, and a hybrid team of internal associates and external specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in risk management, model risk management, AI governance, technology risk, data governance, analytics, compliance, or internal audit.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide model governance, AI governance, responsible AI, or technology risk programs.
• Executive-level experience in a complex, highly regulated organization; healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, generative AI, model development and validation, data governance, technology risk, enterprise risk management, internal controls, and risk appetite frameworks.
• Experience presenting complex risk, technology, analytics, and AI governance topics to executive leadership and Board-level audiences.
