Security Risk & Compliance, Data Centers & Compute (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; New York City, NY; or Washington, DC, United States. Hybrid policy requires staff to work from an office at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $270,000–$345,000 USD.

What you will do

• Assess how security and privacy capabilities across major cloud platforms implement NIST, ISO, CSA CCM, and SOC 2 frameworks.
• Build scalable data center and hyperscaler compliance processes and documentation systems for future geographic and framework expansion.
• Assess and mitigate security and operational risks, implement corrective actions, and manage vendor compliance.
• Coordinate independent assessments, certifications, attestations, customer inquiries, and regulatory obligations.
• Write, update, and enact security, privacy, and AI safety policies.
• Maintain security controls through audit readiness, recordkeeping, and cross-functional communication.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive audit and compliance experience with ownership of certification, attestation, or security compliance implementation projects.
• Experience with cloud-native environments, multi-cloud and hybrid architectures, and related security and privacy considerations.
• Ability to translate complex compliance requirements into actionable workstreams for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with common controls frameworks or GRC systems that scale with organizational growth.
• Ability to write clear security and privacy documentation and build processes in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI/ML companies, cloud companies, or high-growth technology companies.
• Knowledge of model development and deployment security, cloud security controls, and physical security requirements.
• Experience with compliance as code or automated security-control enforcement.
• Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer.
