Quality Assurance Technician (Chemicals)

Location: Quincy, Florida, USA. Work model: Onsite. The role requires rotating 3-shift or 4-shift schedules, including 7-day coverage, to maintain a 24-hour laboratory operation.

What you will do

• Test raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products using approved methods, SOPs, work instructions, and industrial standards.
• Operate, maintain, validate, and calibrate laboratory equipment; perform preventative maintenance and enter SAP work notifications.
• Report accurate test results, evaluate them against specifications, and record non-conformities for quality and cost analysis.
• Support quality and root-cause investigations, including QNS investigations related to site quality issues.
• Maintain GMP, ISO 9001, HACCP, Kosher, and Halal certification requirements while following site safety procedures.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and 5S standards, complete workplace examinations, and address identified hazards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a quality or industrial laboratory setting is desired.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn computer-based laboratory equipment and testing systems.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including 3-shift or 4-shift rotations and 7-day coverage.
• Compliance with site safety requirements, including Safe Work Permits, ESLOTO, equipment inspections, and safety deviation reporting.
